Dearest QWOCMAP Community,

What is your definition of magic?  Does it involve disappearing bunnies and shiny top hats?  The 7th annual Queer Women of Color Film Festival creates a different sort of magic when our multiple communities come together.

7th annual Queer Women of Color Film Festival

Friday, June 10 to Sunday, June 12
Brava Theater 2789 24th Street, SF

The 2011 Queer Women of Color Film Festival world premieres 38 new films that kindle tenacious connections of community, family and romance.  It features delicious stories about our loves and our lives that are FINGER SUCKING GOOD.  It shows our fierce and fabulous history and the way forward through the voices of THINKERS & TROUBLEMAKERS.  It offers views into the wholly transcendent experience of being a person on the margins who is SOARING PAST SURVIVAL in a world that is brutally beautiful.  It follows fat, fierce Femmes unafraid to be their most audacious and salacious selves while IGNITING THE INTERSECTIONS of who and what we are.  It celebrates our HOMEGROWN GIFTS and acknowledges our FIERCE ENTANGLEMENTS of love, family and community.
